At the age of 18, Patrick Brouns started a business in the sale of second-hand passenger cars as a secondary occupation. Becoming independent was his dream. In 1997 he started as a self-employed person on the Maaseikerbaan in Bree.
In 1999, small earthworks were added to the business. He also started spraying sunbeds, containers and trailers. The latter experienced rapid growth.
As from the year 2000, all other activities were stopped and only spraying and repairs of trucks and trailers were carried out. This is where Patrick got to know the world of transport. This was the kick-off for him for the purchase and sale of tractors and trailers.
In 2001 the company ELRO-TRUCKS was founded, named after his two children Eline and Roy. The business moved to the Peerderbaan in Bree.
Due to the continuous growth, a company was established in Weert in 2003 under the name B&B Trucks BV.
Both companies experienced rapid and steady growth. This expansion was reflected in the relocation of his company a few years later to the Meeuwerkiezel in Bree.
After the unexpected death of Patrick Brouns on November 13, 2012, the Elro Trucks Team together with Eline and Roy, Patrick's children, continued the business.
The business made the move to their current location in 2019. This is located on the industrial area Kanaal Noord 1636 in Bree.
